Daryl Berg named Vice President, music at Shine America, Veteran Exec Responsible for Music Strategy, Developing Music‐Based Productions and Licensing Properties.

Daryl Berg has been named Vice President of Music at Shine America, it was announced today by Carl Fennessy, Shine America’s CEO. 

Berg, a music industry veteran, is responsible for Shine America’s music strategy, expanding the company’s music portfolio, helping to develop music-based productions and building licensing properties across scripted, unscripted and digital productions. 

“Daryl has proven to be a tremendous addition to the Shine America team,” says Fennessy. “His extensive music industry experience and relationships have proven invaluable across many of our productions and we are thrilled that he will continue playing a key role as we move forward.”

Berg, who has been with Shine America since 2011, was formerly Executive Director, Music. Since joining the company, Berg has launched a monthly concert series coined Brown Bag Sessions at Shine America’s Hollywood headquarters, with artists such as All-American Rejects, Shiny Toy Guns and Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy. 

Prior to joining Shine America, Berg served as Director of Music for FUEL TV, where he spearheaded the overall music strategy for the network. His responsibilities at FUEL TV ranged from music supervision to licensing and booking bands, to overseeing the network’s music marketing campaigns. Berg helped attract top acts to FUEL TV’s “The Daily Habit,” including LMFAO, Blink 182, Mumford & Sons and many others.

Previously Berg co-created Crusty Old Timer, Inc., a music supervision and placement company based in Los Angeles. He also formerly served as Director of Business Development and New Media at EMI Recorded Music.

Berg is a graduate of the University at Albany and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife Nina and their dogs Plum and Rex.
