Shine America Adds Two New Vice Presidents To Its Programming And Production Teams

Aug 5, 2013—Experienced show-runner and director Robin Feinberg has joined Shine America as Vice President, Programming and Rachel Dax, a veteran production executive, has been named Vice President, Production at Shine America.

Feinberg, who has served as a producer across a variety of TV series including “Legally Blonde,” “Unan1mous,” “The Biggest Loser,” “Ultimate Cake Off,” “For Love or Money” and “Sorority Life,” will oversee current unscripted programming initiatives for Shine America. Series under Feinberg’s per view include “The Face” on Oxygen, “Minute To Win It” on GSN and the upcoming series “Going Wild” on Nat Geo Wild.

Dax, who was formerly Head of Production for High Noon Entertainment’s west coast operations, will help oversee all day-to-day production across Shine America’s unscripted current and development slates, as well as the company’s digital programming initiatives. She’s previously worked on such series as “America’s Got Talent,” “Guiness World Records Gone Wild,” “Tough Love” and “Road Rules.”

“Robin is a tremendous addition to the Shine America team,” says Paul Franklin, Executive Vice President, Programming, Shine America, to whom Feinberg will report. “She brings a wealth of experience as both a director and a producer of top unscripted TV series and she will play a key role for us going forward.”

Linda Giambrone, Shine America’s Executive Vice President and Head of Production, to whom Dax will report, said, “Rachel brings an extraordinary amount of production experience with her and she will be a great asset to our existing team here at Shine America.”

Feinberg has a wide range of experience across different programming genres including documentary, challenge, makeover, and game shows. She’s worked on series for networks ranging from Bravo, CW, VH1, TLC, MTV, FOX, NBC, FX, CBS, DISNEY CHANNEL, DISCOVERY and ABC Family.

She began her career as a junior bond trader before transitioning into television production.

Feinberg holds a BA in Political Economy from Tulane University. She is currently a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Reality Peer Group and lives in Los Angeles.

Since 2010, Dax had served as Head of Production at High Noon Entertainment’s west coast operations, overseeing all aspects of pre-production, production, post-production and managing the day-to-day operations of the company’s Los Angeles office. Dax oversaw High Noon’s development slate including all sizzle reels, presentations, pilots, specials and series.

Prior to her tenure at High Noon, Dax managed and produced numerous top unscripted TV series for companies such as Fremantle Media, Bunim-Murray Productions, Evolution and Merv Griffin Entertainment.

She also previously supervised all production for Q Television Network, the nation’s first 24/7 cable channel for the LGBTQ community, producing five hours of live daily programming and   managed and operated Lone Star Studios in Sylmar, Ca. Dax is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara and currently resides in Los Angeles.
