11-Year-Old Logan Guleff From Memphis, Tennessee Named "MasterChef Junior" Winner

December 16, 2014 - Tonight, Season Two of MASTERCHEF JUNIOR came to an exciting conclusion as host/executive producer and judge Gordon Ramsay and fellow judges Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot named Logan Guleff, an 11-year-old from Memphis, TN, the winner of FOX’s hit cooking competition series. In addition to earning the MASTERCHEF JUNIOR trophy, Logan walked away with a $100,000 grand prize.

“This season, we were blown away by the junior home cooks’ incredible skill, passion and imagination” said Ramsay. “Logan was a fierce competitor each week and developed a signature style and advanced techniques in the kitchen. We are extremely proud of what he has accomplished and look forward to following his culinary journey.”

“During my journey on MASTERCHEF JUNIOR, I learned so much from the judges, especially to be more confident in the kitchen and to be more determined,” said Logan. “Of course, I will always remember the moment when I won, but I will also never forget the amazing time I had with the other contestants and judges. Thank you MASTERCHEF JUNIOR!”

In tonight’s Season Finale episode, Logan competed in a culinary showdown with Samuel Stromberg, a 12-year-old from Greenbrae, CA. For the final challenge, Logan created an impressive, restaurant-quality three-course meal: an appetizer of Grilled Spot Prawns with Smoked Saffron Aioli; a main course of Salt-Crusted Branzino with Chimichurri and Roasted Vegetables; and a Meyer Lemon Madeleine with Goat Cheese Mousse for dessert.

After a very close competition, it was Logan’s refined style, distinct flavors and bold, high-risk techniques – including the use of a smoking gun for his appetizer – that earned him the MASTERCHEF JUNIOR trophy.
