Shine America Announces Ardaban

Shine America announces Ardaban – A New York-based dedictaed format creation company.

Shine America today announced the launch of ARDABAN and the appointment of former Notional Co-President Chachi Senior to the role of Ardaban CEO. Led by Senior, Ardaban will be a dedicated entertainment format creation company whose output will be exclusively produced by Shine America and distributed globally via Shine International.

Ardaban will create and develop new formats for both the U.S. and the global marketplace. With its headquarters in New York, Ardaban will also expand the reach of Shine America to both U.S. coasts, with Chachi dividing his time between Ardaban’s office in New York and Shine America’s headquarters in California.

Senior added: “I am thrilled to help launch Ardaban and join the outstanding team at Shine America. I hope to establish Ardaban as the go to format factory for the entire global television market.”

Chachi Senior’s career in media has spanned over a decade. Most recently, as Co-President at IAC’s Notional, Senior launched successful formats including CHOPPED, MOMENTUM, RANDY JACKSON PRESENTS LOVESONG, WINSANITY! and NO KITCHEN REQUIRED, which will premiere next month on BBC America. Senior also won two Emmy Awards for digital the digital series BOOK OBSESSED, which he executive produced and directed (2009). During his tenure at Notional, he spearheaded the creation, sale and content production both nationally and internationally to such networks and companies as TV Asahi, BBC America, Bravo, Endemol, Fremantle, Fuji TV, Comedy Central, Planet Green, Oxygen, Food Network, Shine, Travel, and Tru TV, among others.

Senior began his career as a principal at First Motionless Pictures before moving on to Rainbow Media. He has produced and several music videos, commercials and independent films including: Los Angeles Film Festival winner and Independent Spirit Award nominee Unknown Soldier, and South-by-Southwest Audience Award winner Blackballed – the Bobby Dukes Story.
