Lee Rierson Named COO of Shine America

Lee Rierson Named Chief Operating Officer for Shine America. Veteran executive to oversee all corporate and strategic operations, physical production, Business & Legal Affairs, Labor Relations and Human Resources for newly renamed Studio

Lee Rierson has been named Chief Operating Officer for Shine America, it was announced today by Carl Fennessy, Shine America’s CEO, to whom he will report.

Rierson, who has been with the company since 2006, will be responsible for all of Shine America’s corporate and strategic operations, physical production studios, business and legal affairs, human resources and labor relations across all labels and business units.

“Lee’s vast entertainment experience and strategic expertise make him the ideal executive to help us lead Shine America into a new era, as we look to expand our imprint in the U.S. broadcast and cable TV marketplace,” says Fennessy. “Lee has already played a vital role in the company’s recent corporate transition and we are thrilled he will be taking on this larger role as we move forward.”

Prior to his current role, Rierson served as Managing Director and Head of Worldwide Business & Operations for Shine America’s predecessor Reveille, leading the company’s business, legal and operational affairs through a period of rapid growth as an independent production company, and then through its acquisition by Shine Group.

Before joining Shine, Rierson served as Vice President of Business Affairs at the ABC Television Network and practiced law at Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren & Richman; the Law Offices of Steven Drapkin; and the Proskauer Rose firm.

Rierson graduated with a B.A. in Economics/Business from the University of California Los Angeles and received a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the KCRW Foundation and the Board of Directors for the Hollywood Entertainment District.
